Schematic Diagram of the Zonal Water Supply Metering System
|

System Working Procedure and Functions:
The quantity of make-up water between 2 adjacent zones is first measured with the SCL-73xLL 2-way ultrasonic flowmeter,
a meter capable of making measurements of flowrate of water flowing in either a forward or reverse direction. The measured
data is then sent via GSM network to the center-end computer to calculate the actual water supply quantity in individual zones,
with the use of the zonal metering and management software. Through comparisons made between the actual water supply
quantity and the reported data, the loss of supply water in each zone caused by pipe leakage or illegal use of water by improper
means can be identified. This may help enhance the management level of water supply enterprises, improve their economic
performance and save the water resources.
Technical features:
1.It is capable of metering the water flowing in a forward or reverse direction with the use of the 2-way transducers.
2.It is battery powered, making it possible to be used on site where external power source is unavailable.
3.It can be on-line mounted under the pressure of water flow, eliminating, therefore, the trouble caused by shutdown of water flow.
4.Thanks to the use of the insertion-type dual-transducer, the ex-factory calibrated accuracy and that after site mounting can be
fully ensured.
5.It is highly sensitive to an extremely low initial flowrate even at a small water supply flowrate.
6.Its use may lead to reduction of meter well construction costs because of less requirement on meter mounting space.
7.Various output interfaces are available for selection and wireless data transmission can be made via GSM network.
8.The integral (one-piece) meter version and the GSM communication receiver can work stably over a long period of time in meter
well with a protection class of IP68.
